Fall Fair
Well. Summer has been and gone. Now we are into fall, and it's time for the fall fair.
Last night I made two sets of squares. And this morning Mom has been in the kitchen since before I got up. She is focusing on the breads and I have been given mostly free range of the rest of the categories. Yeah! I am hoping to get 2 pies, Banana muffins, 2 different types of squares (which are already made), and maybe, just maybe, a chocolate cake in this year.
I'm pretty sure that the chocolate cake won't be a happening thing. Mom's list of things seems to be growing and we aren't allowed to be in the kitchen until she is out.... There's never any competition in this house! Lol.
I guess I will have to do a post fair post so you can see pictures and learn about prizes and such.

Stumbling across my blog...
In the meantime, I will go and try to put something of interest together for you. Maybe something that will make you laugh, maybe something that will bore you out of your mind, or maybe I will scrounge up something to pull your heart strings.

A sum up of the last few months, and the year.
I am lying on my bed thinking about the craziness of November. At the beginning of November I started a Drivers Ed program that I really enjoyed, but with all the inclement weather we had, it was canceled one week. That pushed it on father into December. Along with Drivers Ed I managed to juggle 3 craft shows, school, music class, and a regular babysitting job which I love. For example: Monday music class, Tuesday drivers Ed, Wednesday free maybe, Thursday drivers Ed, Friday prep work for craft show and/or babysit and/or volunteer at the local hospital, Saturday craft show, and Sunday church. My poor introvert mommy has had to drive me all over the place and sit with me at craft shows, when she would have rather been at home, comfy in her small environment with not too many people.
Now for the first craft show:
This one was in town on a wet and cold day, with at least three other shows going on at the same time. I was placed in the back of the room with someone else whom we knew. This was very nice because it was kinda slow. But on the bright side, I was able to sell a lot of stuff, which I was very happy about.
The second show was back at the same place a week later. This time it was an evening one with far more people and far less buying. I was not so pleased about that one.
As for the third show, it was another good day with quite a lot of sales and lots of happy smiling faces. It was out of town in a retirement home.
Now for drivers Ed: I enjoyed it, but I was ready for it to stop. I have a lot to be thankful for in it. Most of my friends have gone with other programs and have not enjoyed them one bit. I had a teacher that was interesting, funny, and who kept things moving.
Well my big investments last year in my beading business, were banners for the craft shows, and a beading software called Bead Manager Pro. It is fun to see my business grow.
